Course Management Features
Scholar LMS has a “modular” architecture that makes adding new activities and resources during course creation a very simple process. The process begins when the system admin assigns a teacher/trainer course creation privileges. Course creators can select from three different formats for presenting their learning syllabus; Topic, Weekly or Social format. Content can be added, removed, organized, re-organized and customized to be presented in a way that best suits the learner’s needs. The magic begins when you click “Turn editing on” within the blank course template. With editing turned on, the course creator can now add activities from an intuitive drop-down list.
What type of content and activities can my course have?
This is the interesting part. ScholarLMS allows you to add over a dozen and a half different types of resources and activities to your courses. These can include videos, audios, SCORM content, live online classrooms (more on this powerful feature here), classroom session recordings, quizzes, assignments, forums, chat-rooms, resource sections and so many more.
The lms platform ensures that you are able to include all types of content inside your courses. ScholarLMS also easily links/integrates to other websites for content such as Vimeo/Youtube. You can also launch external SCORM content using ScholarLMS.
Is there a limit to how much content I can upload?
No. You can upload as much content as you like. ScholarLMS allows you to have unlimited course content uploaded onto the LMS for current and future use no matter which plan you choose.
I want my learners to be guided by the course work. Is that possible?
Yes and that is the beauty of this powerful learning management system. In technical terms we call this ‘Gamification’. This allows you to put restrictions and conditions on how your students can move through the course. For example if you want them to watch a video before they can have access to the transcript, you can do so. Further, you can set a restriction so as to only allow the learners to take a quiz once they have submitted their assignment. The possibilities for gamification are endless and so endless number of learning paths can be created using the LMS.
